Talking about design industry in Asia and regional countries will bring the discussion to a prominent event in Singapore last March.

Singapore Design Week 2014 on last March has successfully stimulated the design dynamic and competition in Asia, thanks to the series of events which are very diverse and synergizing the various aspects of the industry in joint activities in order to connect and support.

Singapore government is serious about supporting the development of industrial design that can also stimulate the business, by facilitating the activities of the design community to share and grow together as seen from the opening of the National Design Centre. This is one of the exciting implementations of Singapore Design Week 2015.

Consisted of trade shows, discussions, conferences, exhibitions installation, exhibition design, and workshop, Design Week is made to be the source of attractions. Singapore Design Week 2015 will soon be held in March 2015. However, some interesting things on 2014 has left a deep impression on celebration of design:

Maison et Objet Asia 2014 marked Kenneth Cobonpue as their Designer of The Year 2014 in Marina Bay Sand Exhibition Hall. In the next Maison et Objet 2015 there will be Neri&Hu as the keynote speaker and more promising compositions of Rising Star Talents.

The Trilogy Event, comprised of Asean Furniture Show, The Décor Show and Hospitality 3600  successfully gathered the desiners, business people, and enthusiast from all around the world and already become the annual agenda for them to come to Singapore on March.

Singaplural 2014 as the anchor event of Singapore Design Week 2014, celebrates the new emerging designers in the industry. Various agendas are conducted to form a strong network between designers and business community, while creating a good platform for the new talents to gain experience and encounter constructive challenges. The Singapore Design Business Summit and The Singapore Good Design Mark Exhibition become the other main agenda of SingaPlural 2014.
